Tosan's remarkable success

In April 1922, the head office was moved from Osaka to Tokyo.

At that time, the shakuhachi was popular in combination with the koto, called the Sankyoku Ensemble. Therefore, He thought about collaborating with Michio Miyagi who is the most popular koto player in Japan, and made it happen.

In addition, when radio broadcasting began in 1925, Mr. Machida who was in charge of Japanese music broadcasting contributed to the spread of new Japanese music. Around this time, Tozan began to hold concerts in cities all over the country, and greatly contributed to laying the foundation of Tozan-ryu.

In the Great Tokyo Air Raid of 1945, the headquarters of the Tozan-ryu office was burned down, so it was withdrawn to Osaka and then moved to Kyoto.

In his later years, he devoted himself to training a successor and died in October 1956.
